News::Guy Makes Pyro Backpack, Shoots Flames Everywhere
Pyro from X-Men isn't one of the best known characters in the Marvel universe, but that doesn't mean his backpack mounted flamethrower isn't cool as all heck. And for our amusement, one tinkerer decided to bring it to life.

News::Star Citizen Arena Commander dogfighting update delayed
As gamers seem to be more and more willing to play games in an unfinished state, it feels surprising to me when a developer decides to delay an update because of bugs. Of course unfinished games are buggy -- we expect that -- but at least Chris Roberts has explained the delay in adding the Arena Commander mode to Star Citizen . Apparently there's still some pesky bugs that really need fixed before the update is playable for all.
"Our biggest issue today is a newly developed DirectX crash," Chris explains, "which breaks the single player Vanduul Swarm mode every backer will be given access to."
That sounds bad and the other major bug listed is a problem with feedback that results in losing sync with the multiplayer game. The Arena Commander update is the big ship to ship combat mode that fans have been clamoring for so there's understandably going to be a few unhappy pilots who will now have to wait a few more days.
It's refreshing for a developers to come out and say "hey, we're delaying this because it's still not quite right and here's exactly what we're trying to fix" and I'll applaud the team for being open about the delay. As Chris points out in his update, a publisher would probably push for the update to be released but since Star Citizen is crowdfunded, the team doesn't have that pressure.

News::Hardline 21: Battlefield, The Evil Without, and The Order: 1886
Most of the interesting news is being saved for E3 in two weeks, but until then, Steven, Brett, and Hamza joined me to chat about the big Battlefield Hardline leak. Hardline on Hardline. We're not changing our show's name, EA. (Please don't force us to do so.)
Other than that, Brett us gave the lowdown on The Evil Within and The Order: 1886 following his hands-on preview sessions with both titles. There was also some brief Watch Dogs and Steam Machines talk. I still don't know how we managed to go on for as long as we did.
For the audio-only episode, you can subscribe on iTunes and RSS -- it'll be out on June 1.

News::Bro the best that you can bro with Broforce Steam Early Access update
If you've been bro-ing out with Broforce , Free Lives' patriot simulator, you might have noticed it's received a beefy update on Steam Early Access. We've got two additional bros on tap, along with a new mechanized enemy unit to wreck your enemies, because freedom. The only caveat is, you have to play one handed while you chow down on apple pie and sing the national anthem at the same time.
Time Bro joins the force, with the ability to slow down time and blow up the joint with his beretta. Broniversal Soldier can revive fallen enemies so they never have to stop fighting for the cause. Then you've got some mechs, too. That's the spirit of America, after all, right alongside wearing Uggs with jeans to Walmart with your entire midriff exposed.
An additional list of updates were made to the game, all of which are available for your perusal on the Steam forums. I haven't tried the game yet, but I definitely still want to. Has anyone tried it out yet? Alasdair dug it. How 'bout you?

News::Steam dumps another 75 games to Greenlight
The very talked about, incredibly divisive Steam Greenlight service is back at it again, releasing a batch of 75 new titles to play. As always, I'm not even going to pretend like I've heard of any of these games. That said, it looks like my only choice is to take it back the mid '80s, and base my purchases on how cool the title art looks.
To start, why don't we give a chance to Heavy Fire: Afghanistan. If nothing else, you can shut your eyes real tight and imagine that it's Six Days in Fallujah . Going father down the list we have Minimon 3D, which looks like a riff on Digimon and Pokemon. Alpha Sapphire/Omega Ruby aren't out for another six months, so you can get your fix here in the mean time. It's not as good as the product Game Freak is slanging, but, you know, addicts can't be choosers.
In all seriousness though, you can check out the full list here, and the more indie inclined of you can probably comb over the list for something worthwhile. Happy hunting!
